A very quirky mansion, the interior and exterior are like chalk and cheese. I can only think of the word incongruous to describe it. The front doors scream Arabic, yet the tubular lift shaft says 1970s space age. The owner is one of the nicest people I’ve met and most accommodating. He lives between Switzerland and UAE but the housekeeper is on site 24/7 and loved film catering. It’s a great film location. The kitchen, hall, dining area, stairs, exterior and roof are its best assets.
This film location offers many almost deserted streets. Built in advance of the expo it hasn’t yet been filled. The interiors of these houses and villas are really nice. I would love to see the streets filled with mannequins, it’s been done since 1935, but empty streets still work to give an eerie uneasy feeling. These streets can be controlled without too much disruption to residents.
This Dubai Villa Film Location in a serene urban setting has 4 bedrooms and a modern white kitchen breakfast room. The house itself, features large windows that offer a glimpse into the interior while allowing natural light to flood the space. Walking out of the kitchen leads to a dining area and then on to a large bright living area tastefully decorated. Architectural elements display a modern design with a focus on harmonising indoor and outdoor living spaces. The property, exudes an air of luxury and exclusivity, highlighted by the spacious porch and courtyard. Walking out of the villa leads on to the patio which has a large swimming pool. The outdoor kitchen and BBQis absolutely stunning and certainly made me envious. The shaded area has a beautiful rustic driftwood dining table, perfect for lazy evenings and a bottle of Rioja. This villa is really quite unique as a Dubai Film location. The villa invites a sense of relaxation and leisure. At night he pool’s clear water reflects the sky above, bordered by a neatly tiled edge that hints at meticulous maintenance. Surrounding the pool, a variety of lush plants and trees contribute to a tranquil, natural ambiance, evoking a sense of being in a private oasis. There’s easy access to the rear of the villa as there’s a wide side path big enough for lighting trollies. See other Dubai villas here. The location is in close proximity to local film equipment rental houses and the majority of UAE crew live in Dubai. Noise was minimal when we shot here. When looking at the front of the villa which has an almost cottage like entrance, you won’t believe the expansive garden at the rear.
An Arabesque themed village, finished in 2019 as a tourist attraction and pedestrian area, this makes a great filming location. With a little imagination and some clever period props a scene from Casablanca can be recreated. Hyper-lapse works particularly well here. This waterfront promenade where old meets new, has two zones an old-world heritage area and a modern section lined with malls, hotels, and restaurants. This is where the Gulf’s beginnings as a famous pearl diving port can be seen, there is the open-air floating market and the 1950s-style souk.
Set on 1.5 kilometers of beach and gardens. Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Beach Resort, is an ideal film location. When I shot there the marketing team were fantastic, their only concern is that you don’t interfere with the guests experience. Outdoor pools include a large saltwater pool, an adults-only pool, and a kids pool with waterslide. Technogym equipment in the 24-hour fitness center. The private villas are a great we rented one for the client and they made another room available for changing and make up. There are canoes paddle boards and other equipment available to rent. Plenty of options for interior and outdoor dining.
It’s not crystal clear why this village was abandoned. But it now makes for an outstanding film location in Sharjah. It comprises of around 30-40 dwellings, a mosque and some out buildings. The sand swept roadways make for a dramatic scene, all you need to do is think how to make the best photographic use of it.
This palace film location was left abandoned for many years due to strange happenings. It has recently been given a coat of paint and some of the interior has been designated for various uses but it is available for shoots and long term rental as a film or TV series location. The Munsters or a horror movie could be filmed here. In the crew section there are location personnel that can do a detailed VR tour of the property.
This office with working edit bays, can be hired as a location, it’s corporate identity colour of green, means you can swap it out for any colour. With ten work stations it can be made in to a trading floor, upmarket sales office or co-working space.
Summer holiday memories on this fantastic coastal road, think open top sports car or VW camper. The white sand stretches as far as you can see. The inner road can be controlled. You can park, strip off and in 20 steps be in the water.
This modern shopping area and city residential living development is a cool film location in Dubai it has the Burj Khalifa in the background. It can be controlled for short periods of time. It can be done faster but allow 2 weeks to get all the permissions and NOCs through.
