Surrounded by mountains and filled with stunning turquoise water, it’s a stark contrast to the desert sands you’ll pass en route to Hatta. This Dubai UAE film location borders the emirate of Fujairah and the country of Oman.
The dam is commonly called Hatta Dam but its real name is Al Hattavi Dam. Access to the dam is easy from the Hatta Heritage Village following a 2 kilometer paved road that ends at the top of the dam.
There is an adventure center offering kayaks, pedal boats, electric boats and water pedal bikes.

Parking is limited, but a 4 truck unit can squeeze in.
Definitely worth sending a location scout to check and do photos as there are plans to build a second reservoir above it. (Now built)
