Freelance 2nd AC Dubai Sasha Mourad is accustomed to working in the countries fast-paced film industry. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to the craft of camera maintenance and technology. With a background spanning feature films, commercials, and social media campaigns, Sasha has become a vital part of the UAE’s film industry, bringing precision and energy to each project she undertakes. Her role as a 2nd AC is indispensable to the seamless operation of the camera department, from camera setups to supporting data management, ensuring every shot is captured efficiently and professionally.
Sasha has worked as a 2nd AC on a number of notable projects, including the UAE-based, award-winning feature film Mountain Boy, where her role was critical in maintaining smooth camera operations and supporting the visual storytelling. Her experience extends to commercial work, where she shot a successful campaign for Fiat, showcasing her ability to support both creative and technical aspects. She also helped launch multiple campaigns for clients like Dropkick across several social media platforms, blending her technical skills with a knack for engaging digital content.
As a 2nd AC, Sasha meticulously manages the slate, marking each roll, scene and take for precise audio-video syncing in post-production, and handling lens changes and intricate setups alongside the 1st AC and Director of Photography. Her adaptability to diverse filming environments is a valuable asset, as she often works in Dubai’s unique mix of settings—from bustling urban scenes to the desert’s dusty wide-open spaces.
Sasha’s technical expertise includes working with high-end camera systems like ARRI, RED, and Sony, making her well-versed in industry-standard equipment and able to support productions with efficiency and expertise. Her experience with high-demand shoots means she consistently meets the high expectations of local and international clients alike, seamlessly bridging creative and technical requirements.

Sasha has a B.A. in Communication Majoring in Digital Production & Storytelling from the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai. She has worked as videographer, production and direction. There is no doubt she will go much further in the industry, but Sash is 100% focused on her role as a freelance 2nd AC Dubai.
