About me

As an upcoming sustainable Abu Dhabi Production Manager / Coordinator, Nena brings a set of transferable skills from corporate project management and quality assurance to the world of film and media production. Starting her journey as a Mom of  young performers since 2015, Nena developed a particular eye for casting talent and decided to put her corporate organisational, time management, administrative, planning and project management expertise to creative use and establish herself in the Production Management community. Abu Dhabi has become a thriving hub for film production in recent years, attracting both local and international filmmakers due to its stunning locations, top-notch facilities, and incentives offered by the government. As a Production Manager / Coordinator it is crucial to ensuring the smooth running of a film shoot in the city. She works closely with the director, producer, and other key staff members to ensure that the production stays on schedule and within budget. This includes coordinating with local vendors, securing permits, arranging transportation and accommodation for the cast and crew, and managing the overall logistics of the shoot. Having completed Project Management Professional course and obtained PMI certification in 2020, Nena pursued filmmaking and producing courses, such as Raindance Film Producers’ Foundation Course in 2021 and Image Nation Production Management course in 2023.  Additionally, Nena always had particular passion for sustainability and environmental protection, and completed courses for Green Production in 2022 (from Albert and Act Safe Safety Association) with the aim to run productions with reduced costs while preserving the UAE environment.  With a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry Nena is very methodical, analytical, and a great problem solver.  She is goal oriented, dedicated and committed, and as such makes a super reliable and dependable crew member. Plus she can increase profits, PR and marketing profiles of productions by implementing sustainable practices on sets. As an Abu Dhabi Production Manager her skills are transferable to coordinator in neighbouring Emirates from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah.
