About me
Abu Dhabi DOP Vladimir Lakobrija was born in Serbia, where his journey in visual arts began at a young age. At just 12 years old, Vladimir took his first photographs, garnering attention from the Photographic Society of Novi Sad. Although he graduated with a degree in tourism, his passion for visual arts led him to pursue a career in the film and media industry. In 2015, Vladimir moved to the United Arab Emirates and became a creative producer for Third Eye, an Abu Dhabi production company. His work in the Middle East includes high-profile projects for the UAE government, the Royal family, and local businesses. Recognised for his talent and experience, he was awarded the UAE’s Golden Visa for 10 years as a media expert of interest to the UAE. As an Abu Dhabi DOP and creative director/producer, Vladimir now manages high-budget projects and leads media teams. His client portfolio includes prestigious organisations such as the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Department of Customs, Sheikh Zayed Foundation, Tawazun, and Mubadala Investment Fund, among others. His ability to bring a unique visual perspective to each project has made him a sought-after professional in the region. Vladimir’s work has been showcased globally, earning him several awards. He received Best Photography at the International Student Conference in Croatia (2001), second place for Art Photography in the prestigious REFOTO magazine (2009), and Best Movie at the Film Festival in Varazdin, Croatia (2012). His documentary work on human rights in Kosovo has been recognised by UNDP and the Olof Palme International Center (Sweden). These accolades reflect his commitment to excellence and his ability to capture powerful stories through his lens. A media expert with extensive international experience, Vladimir continues to seek self-improvement by staying abreast of industry trends. His dedication to his craft and his innovative approach to visual storytelling set him apart as a leading Abu Dhabi DOP. Whether working on government projects, corporate films, or creative productions, Vladimir Lakobrija consistently delivers exceptional work that resonates with audiences.
