About me
Dubai DOP Director Producer Timothy Fare-Matthews began his career in motorsport, gaining invaluable experience in dynamic camera operation. This fast-paced environment laid a solid foundation for his future in filmmaking, where precision and adaptability are crucial. Although his roots are in automotive filming, Timothy has since expanded his repertoire to include lifestyle, food commercials, and high-end products. His diverse portfolio showcases his versatility and ability to capture the essence of various subjects through his lens.
With more than 15 years of experience, Timothy has become a prominent figure in the industry, known for his skill as a DOP, producer, and director. He co-founded First and Ten Productions in Dubai in 2013, which has grown into a renowned production house. Over the years, Timothy has delivered hundreds of global projects for prestigious brands and personalities, including VICE, YouTube, Facebook, Will Smith, BBC, Jay Shetty, Spartan, Rolls-Royce, Gulf Oil, and Red Bull. His work has earned him a reputation for excellence, creativity, and technical prowess in producing high-quality content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Timothy’s expertise and influence extend beyond his production work. As the managing director of First and Ten Productions, he has helped shape the company’s growth into a leading name in the industry. Additionally, Timothy serves as an official Sony CineLine Ambassador for the Middle East and Africa region, and as an ambassador for Miller and Zacuto. In this capacity, he frequently leads keynote speeches, webinars, and workshops, sharing his extensive knowledge of Sony products and providing valuable insights into the production industry.
Timothy is also dedicated to mentoring the next generation of filmmakers. He heads a community called Financially-Free Filmmaker (FFF), aimed at guiding content creators toward a successful career in production. This community emphasises not only the development of production skills but also the entrepreneurial aspects of building a sustainable career in filmmaking.
